Some countries require extra information on international parcels, such as a personal customs code or a tax ID. Without it, parcels can be held at customs or returned. This rule blocks checkout until the customer provides the ID for their shipping country.

Supported IDs

Each ID is only checked when the order ships to its country. For example, the PCCC is only required for orders shipped to South Korea. The message appears next to the Company field of the shipping address.

How customers enter the ID

The rule reads the ID from a cart attribute, which is extra information saved with the cart. Your store needs a field on the cart page or at checkout that saves the ID under the exact key below:
If your store doesn’t collect the ID under these keys, the rule blocks every order shipped to the selected countries. Set up the field first, then test the rule with the Testing status.
